KTM LC4 oversized water pump kit by Ambro Racing

The oversized impeller is a component designed to increase the cooling capacity of the system.

The kit is made of black anodised 6082 aluminium with a special base that lifts the cover, increasing the flow rate (hydrodynamically tested) by 40% of the coolant and improving the heat exchange.

All impeller profiles have been designed to avoid unpleasant cavitation phenomena.

This modification allows less (thermal) stress on the bike during hot periods without compromising anything during cold periods as the thermostatic valve is able to compensate for the increased cooling (by simply remaining closed).

To increase the flow rate at the same engine speed, a simple increase in the surface of the impeller vanes is exploited, obtained thanks to the insertion of a special spacer interposed between the engine block and the water pump cover.

This means that the radiator fan starts much less and stays on less, with decidedly lower operating temperatures and the advantage of optimum cooling of the motorbike.

The kit can be fitted to all Lc4 engines:
