Now in its 18th year, the HAT Sanremo–Sestriere is the international meeting point for motorcyclists of all ages and experience levels. A unique adventure that unites riders from around the world along a spectacular route: from the seaside start of Sanremo, with its large paddock, to the most authentic Alps of Sestriere, crossing historic high-altitude military roads. The HAT is more than just a GPX track: it’s a complete experience filled with adventure, friendship, discovery, and personal challenges, shared with a passionate community, including champions of motorcycle rallying, enduro, and the Dakar, who enrich the event with stories, advice, and the authentic thrill of great raids.

The  HAT Sanremo-Sestriere has no stopwatches or podiums: the real challenge is within yourself. Each participant approaches the course with the goal of surpassing their limits, improving their physical and technical abilities, and experiencing the thrill of reaching the finish line. Adventure blends with the landscape, transforming every kilometer into a moment of discovery and personal growth. This event offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Alps, traveling along  dirt roads  and  unpaved roads that offer breathtaking views and an authentic connection with nature.

The HAT requires participants to be  independent and responsible , both in planning and tackling the route. Each participant decides how to navigate the routes provided by the organization, where to stop for rest, and how to tackle each challenge.  Refreshment points , strategically located along the route, offer moments of respite and support to complete the adventure and reach the final destination:  Sestriere .

categories One of the most fascinating aspects of the  HAT Sanremo-Sestriere  is  night riding , a unique challenge that enhances the sense of adventure. Riding along Alpine trails under a starry sky, guided only by the light beam of your motorcycle, is an intense and evocative experience that tests concentration, endurance, and riding skill.

Hat Day Academy: Designed to offer participants all the fundamental skills to approach the HAT with confidence, awareness, and a truly effective strategy.

Pre-event training videos: To further improve participant preparation, official training videos will be produced and made available online a few months before the event. The videos will guide participants on the use of GPS and the Whip App , use of the 2026 Timetable , bike settings and technical advice , stage management , time management , and safety .

Master Challenge – Renewed Formula: After gathering the impressions and suggestions of many participants, the 2026 Master Challenge presents itself with a renewed formula, more challenging , more technical , more engaging.
Unlike previous editions, and considering the new technical difficulties of the course, the Master Challenge will last two days , with only one night session.

The Extreme Category becomes “1000” : A unique challenge, dedicated to motorcyclists who want to test themselves against the maximum in endurance adventouring, 1000 km of pure adventure.
